Curry Architects Leads Faculty Housing Design in Maryland

In an article recently published by the Baltimore Business Journal, two projects by Curry Architects were
featured. More and more private K-12 boarding schools in the Mid-Atlantic region are finding benefits
to having faculty in residence on campus. McDonogh School’s Marc Village that was designed by Curry
Architects opened for the 2018-2019 school year. Garrison Forest, a K-12 girls’ private school in Owings
Mills, is also expanding its on campus housing. Curry Architects designed a new dorm that includes
three faculty apartments with three bedrooms. Some of the features of new faculty housing in the Mid-
Atlantic region has been increased size of residences to include areas within the private homes to host
small student gatherings. Multiple bedrooms have also been accommodated during design so that more
families can be accommodated.
